About Templeton Community Against Toxic Waste (TCATW)

TCATW is a group where everyone is welcome and encouraged to work together for the health and safety of our community against activities that pose environmental harms. All people of any age and ability can do something to preserve and protect our community. When we promote public health and responsible care of our environment, even small actions count a lot!

Pollution does not stop at town lines. Toxic material can float in air, seep into our water, contaminate land, and poison our families. It can impact nearby communities in Worcester County and beyond via rail lines, roads, and move by wind and water.

Together, we carry on the work of those who safeguarded our community in the past. And we pledge to do our best to do the same for future generations. Please join us as we work together against threats to our health and beautiful environment.

We’ve been joined by people from state and national groups who are similarly concerned about the global impacts of the petrochemical industry on communities and the planet, including members of:

  • Beyond Plastics

  • Just Zero

  • Clean Water Action

  • Millers River Watershed Council

  • The Garden Club of America

  • Gardner Clean Air

  • Save our Susquehanna

  • The Climate Reality Project

  • Community Action Works

Voters are the CEO’s of the town

We’ve been joined by the following businesses similarly concerned about the health of Templeton residents, natural resources, and neighborhoods.
